Platform
How Obbify works
One governed data model, role-based workspaces and an AI layer that explains performance, with people in charge of every decision.
Platform
One governed view. Four ways to read it.
Most leadership teams already have the data. It sits in different systems, arrives on different days and is reconciled by hand before every review. Obbify brings it into one consistent model, then puts four intelligence engines on top of it.
The result is not another report library. It is a short list of what matters this week, an explanation of why, and a way to ask the next question yourself.
Engine 01
Ask
Ask your business
Plain-language questions, answered from your governed data, with the figures, filters and sources shown beside every answer.
“How did gross margin move by product line this quarter?”
Engine 02
Foresight
Forecasts and scenarios
Rolling forecasts against plan, and what-if scenarios on price, volume, cost and cash, with the assumptions in view.
“What happens to Q4 cash if collections slip 10 days?”
Engine 03
Watch
Risks and exceptions
Continuous monitoring of thresholds, trends and anomalies, so the few items that need attention reach the right person first.
“Overdue receivables up 22% since June.”
Engine 04
Brief
Why it changed
Written performance narratives that explain variance against plan and prior period, in the language of your own management reviews.
“Most of the gap sits in the export division.”

How it works
From source systems to a decision.
Four steps, in order. The first two are done once with your team; the last two happen every day.
1
Connect
Link ERP, accounting, sales and operational systems, or start from structured exports. Data is validated as it arrives.
2
Model
Agree definitions for revenue, margin, cash and operational KPIs once, so every workspace reports the same number.
3
Explain
Brief and Watch read the model each day and describe what moved, why, and where it is likely heading.
4
Decide
Leaders review the evidence, ask follow-up questions and act. Recommendations stay suggestions until a person approves them.
AI capabilities
AI that explains. People who decide.
Obbify uses AI to read the numbers faster and describe them clearly. It is designed to support judgement, not replace it, and to show its working every time.
What the AI does
- Explains variance. Breaks a movement against plan or prior period into its main drivers: price, volume, mix, cost.
- Answers questions in plain language. Turns a question into a query on the governed model and returns the figures with the answer.
- Flags anomalies. Notices when a measure moves outside its normal range, before it reaches a month-end report.
- Drafts recommendations. Suggests options to consider, with the evidence and assumptions behind each one.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t make decisions. Every decision stays with the accountable executive.
- It doesn’t act on its own. Recommendations require human review before anything is shared or acted on.
- It doesn’t answer without sources. Each answer shows the data, period and filters it used.
- It doesn’t remove risk. Forecasts are estimates with stated assumptions, not guarantees.
Model-agnostic by design
Obbify is designed to work with leading AI models, such as Claude, without depending on a single provider. The KPI model, permissions and audit trail sit in Obbify Core, so the model can be chosen, or changed, to suit each client.
Security & governance
Designed for data that leadership can trust.
Executive data is among the most sensitive a company holds. Our approach is to build governance into the foundation of the platform rather than add it later.
Role-based access
Designed so each user sees only the workspaces, companies and units their role permits, including inside AI answers.
Governed data
Data stays within a governed model with agreed definitions. Customer-controlled deployment options are planned for organisations that require them.
Audit trail of AI answers
Designed to record each question, the data it drew on and the answer given, so any explanation can be reviewed later.
Human review
Important recommendations are routed for review and approval by a named person before they are circulated.
Encryption as a principle
Encryption in transit and at rest is a design principle for the production platform, alongside monitoring and least-privilege access.
These are the design principles of a platform in development. Obbify does not currently hold security certifications; we will describe our controls in detail during any evaluation.
